Meet Proehl & Partners
Deborah Proehl Family values and the desire to help others is why Deborah Proehl decided to become a real estate broker. As a top producer for Prudential Carolinas Realty in Greensboro, being available for her children and family while still making a difference in people’s lives is very important to her. “It brings me great joy to help others,” says Deborah. “There’s a lot of emotion in this business and my job is to help people make good decisions regarding one of their largest investments.” Prior to working in real estate Deborah spent 15 years as a television anchor and reporter in the southeast. In 2001, she lived one of the scariest days of her life when her nanny took her son to her second job and lied about where she had him. For six hours, Deborah had no idea where Stafford, Jr. was and called home every fifteen minutes hoping her nanny would pick up the phone. “I didn’t feel like I could leave work and go home to find out if my son was o-kay. That day changed my life and I realized I had to be able to put my children first.” These values and dedication are the foundation of how she approaches her business. On a leap of faith, Deborah took her determination, dedication and drive to help others and became a real estate broker. Becoming rookie of the year her freshman year in the business, Deborah learned how her focus on service would help her clients find thier dream home. “Real Estate and TV journalism aren’t really all that different,” says Deborah. “You work 24/7, on the weekends, nights and following tight deadlines to serve your clients needs at every moment. That kind of work ethic translates to success.” Deborah has spent the last 20 years in the southeast. She was born in the Bronx, NY, grew up in NJ and attended college at a small journalism school in Boston, MA. She enjoys exercising, watching football, hunting for antiques, being outdoors and spending time with her family.
Cheryl Pope Born in Portland, Oregon and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Cheryl has spent the better part of her life living West of the Mississippi. After leaving California, Cheryl moved to Washington, then onto Arizona where her first daughter was born in Scottsdale. Thereafter, she and her husband, Dan, a Continental Airline pilot, moved to Texas and finally settled for 12 years in the beautiful state of Colorado. They added twins to their family in 1990, and by 1995 Continental transferred Dan and family to Greensboro where they have continued living and raising their children. Real estate has played a part in Cheryl's life for over 20 years; with her first real estate license in California. With her Arizona real estate license, she dabbled in several investment properties and in Colorado was fortunate to work with a large home builder learning the new construction aspects of real estate. North Carolina has been a tremendous real estate market to bring together the years of experience in both existing and new construction. Cheryl has a positive outlook for the future of the Piedmont Triad area as it grows and brings in more broad-based commerce of businesses. With all the best attributes of the mountains and the beaches, the Piedmont is always a great place to call home--just ask her, she knows!
Jane Robbins When Jane entered the real estate business, her primary goal was to be the Realtor she’d never fully experienced in real estate transactions…one who was easily accessible, well-educated in her business, detail-oriented, thorough, and most of all, completely client-centered. Yes…she wanted to be the “Bionic Realtor”! Although Bionic she’s not, Jane has proven herself over the last four years in the real estate community as an agent who constantly strives to achieve those goals and maintain the integrity and work ethic that defines her values. As a businesswoman, the respect of her past and present clients in addition to colleagues and community members is Jane’s greatest achievement. Jane’s background lies in the area of social work where she spent many years working as a counselor. As a counselor, she experienced first hand the importance of home and community to a person’s satisfaction in life. It is, perhaps, that value that drives her to assist buyers in finding not only the right house to call HOME, but also the right community where they can thrive and grow. She also approaches sellers with the same ideal. Honoring the home where someone lives is crucial; so Jane makes sure that her sellers are an integral part of the listing and selling process. On a personal note, Jane was born and raised right here in the Triad. However, she has lived in a wide variety of places due mostly to spending 22 years as a proud military wife. Only after her husband, Steve, retired from the USAF, were they able to bring their family back “HOME”. Jane and Steve have two children. Allison, who attends NC State University, and Garrett, who is in Middle School. The Robbins family has made many wonderful memories since moving back to NC. Fun time is often spent playing with the family dogs, boating, and landscaping, and simply being together as a family.
Bonnie Fielder Bonnie’s desire to begin her second career in real estate came from a bad experience with her own realtor and the desire to offer customer service beyond her client’s expectations. She became a real estate broker in October of 2003, but her experience helping others spans years in the technology business solving challenges for her customers. Now, she helps her own customers in her business that continues to grow with referrals year after year. “I love meeting new people and helping them accomplish their real estate goals.” Bonnie prides herself on the level of service she provides as well as her skills in communicating with her clients. Bonnie is a native North Carolinian and knows our area well. She is excited about the growth she’s seen in our area and the quality of life it offers. “Greensboro is big enough to offer a variety of things to do, but still small enough to offer a wonderful environment to raise a family.” Bonnie enjoys short day trips to the zoo, the brand new wineries that are taking off in our Blue Ridge Mountains and the nightlife in our revitalized downtown. Bonnie is a mother of a 24 year old son and has a 21 year old step-daughter. She currently lives in Greensboro, but was born and raised in Burlington.
